Virtual Champions

Very many congratulations to Abdullah, Maryam, Jessica, Taz, Safa, Hashim, Saad, Rasels, Sami, Deb and Kirsten San who all competed alongside me in (presumably) the world’s first ever LIVE online kata competition on Sunday. JKS Bradford was not only very well represented, as you can see, but we also came away with no fewer than EIGHT prizes across eleven categories.

Particular congratulations go to the following champions:

  • Safa for attaining 3rd Place in 6-8yr old 6th Kyu+ category
  • Rasels for attaining 3rd Place in 9-12 yr old 6th Kyu+ category
  • Kirsten for attaining 3rd Place in 18+ Brown & Black Belt Female category
  • Taz for attaining 3rd Place in Masters Kyu Grade category
  • Sami for attaining 2nd Place in Cadet Brown and Black Belt category
  • Robin for attaining 2nd Place in 18+ Black & Brown Belt Male category
  • Robin for attaining 2nd Place in Masters Dan Grade category
  • Kirsten for attaining 1st Place in Masters Dan Grade category.

It was a very enjoyable event and if it’s ever repeated I would encourage even more of you to participate. A karate tournament conducted from the comfort of your own home!
